22nd April 2016

News of our recent hires has been published in Citywire Wealth Manager.

“Newly formed wealth boutique Progeny Wealth has hired a team of five from Redmayne-Bentley.

The Leeds firm has hired investment managers David Battersby, Ian Hooper, Craig Melling and Michelle Parkin, and investment executive Rachel Blythe.

The five recently left Redmayne-Bentley, alongside business development manager Jon Moody, who is on gardening leave until the end of May. It is not yet known which company Moody will be joining.

Progeny Group, headed by Neil Moles, was launched earlier this month following the merger of wealth advisory business Lawrence Scoffield and law firms.

The firm has about £1 billion in client assets, combining Progeny Private Law’s private client division with Progeny Corporate Law’s corporate practice and Lawrence Scoffield’s estate planning and investment advisory business.

Managing director Moles said: ‘We are delighted to welcome David, Ian, Craig, Michelle and Rachel to the Progeny Group, and we look forward to working with them in the future.’”
